Our Library & Content Policy

The archive isn't open yet

The community archive is not live. It opens once our registered DMCA agent is filed and we launch. This page describes the posture that will apply at launch.

A library built by technicians, for technicians

This is a community reference. The manuals, datasheets, install sheets, field notes, and wiring markups here are submitted and contributed by the people who use this site — installers, integrators, and low-voltage techs who had a doc in a drawer or a hard-won note worth sharing. We host and organize what the community contributes. We don't claim to own manufacturer documentation, and we make no money from any individual document.

We built this because the install paperwork is always missing when you need it, and the answers are scattered across a dozen vendor PDFs. If a doc helps the next tech get a door working right, it belongs here.

If you're a rights holder

We respect intellectual property and we're not interested in hosting anything a manufacturer or author would rather we didn't. If you own (or represent the owner of) material on this site and you'd like it removed, we'll take it down — gladly and promptly. No fight, no friction.

Email us: content@wireadoor.com

To help us move fast, send your request from your official company email address. A request from a manufacturer's or rights holder's own domain tells us it's legitimate, and we can act on it right away. Please include:

  • What the material is (title, part number, or document name)
  • A link to it on this site (the page URL)
  • Who you are and that you're the rights holder or authorized to act for them

That's it. We'll remove the material, confirm back to you, and keep it out going forward. If you'd prefer to file a formal notice, the elements above are also what a DMCA takedown notice requires; you can add a good-faith statement and your signature and we'll treat it the same way. See our DMCA / takedown process.

How submissions work

Anyone contributing to the library confirms they have the right to share what they upload and that it doesn't violate someone else's rights or any confidentiality or non-disclosure obligation. Don't upload anything tied to a specific customer's site, anything marked confidential, or anything you're under NDA on. Contributors are accountable for what they submit, and we remove anything reported or found to be improperly shared. These representations are part of our contributor Terms.

Repeat issues

If a contributor repeatedly submits material they don't have the right to share, we remove their ability to contribute. We'd rather have a smaller, clean library than a big, sketchy one.

Not a design or compliance authority

This library is a field reference. It does not replace manufacturer instructions, a stamped fire/life-safety design, or your Authority Having Jurisdiction. Always verify against the official documentation and applicable code for your install. See the full disclaimer.
